2024 Annual Report

Steven Lee

Pastor for Preaching & Vision

Dear North Church,

As I think back on 2024, my heart exclaims Psalm 34:3, “Oh, magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.” God has been kind and gracious to our church family over these past 23+ months as The North Church. He continues to lead us by his good and strong hand. He continues to uphold us by his word. His mercies are new every morning and his steadfast love never fails.

Together, we love our mission to spread a passion for the supremacy of God in all things for the joy of all peoples through Jesus Christ. What a worthwhile mission it is to make much of Jesus for the glory of God and our ever-increasing joy in him. We continue to live out our vision to treasure Christ in all of life. My sense is we are delighting in God’s word and meditating on it day and night (Psalm 1:2). Our roots and confidence in Christ have deepened.

We are by grace yielding the fruit of faith and producing the fruits of the Spirit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22–23). Our leaves do not easily wither. We are striving to be more and more steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that our labors in Christ are not in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).

We are excited for people to become disciple-making disciples. We are investing in the current and next generation so that they will be oaks of righteousness. Together, we are a garden city that shines the light of the glory of Christ to our neighbors and the nations. Of course, we have not fully arrived. That won’t happen until we are reunited with Jesus. But by God’s grace, we are growing, loving one another, learning, fighting sin, striving for unity in the bond of peace, and continually being conformed to the image of Jesus Christ.

I hope you’ll take a moment to join me in giving thanks to God for his grace and power at work through his people over this last year. I want this annual report to be an Ebenezer stone where we remember, “Till now the LORD has helped us” (1 Samuel 7:12). I want to look back and remember God’s kindness and grace revealed in the stories and accounts recorded in this report. May this be an exercise of remembering and worshiping God for his grace in 2024. May he do far more than we can ask or imagine for his glory and our joy in 2025.

With affection in Christ,

Pastor Steven
