We exist to partner with families in teaching the next generation to know, love, and treasure Christ in all of life. We seek to cultivate an engaging Children’s Ministry where every child is formed by Scripture, prayer, worship, and the gospel message so they may grow to be oaks of righteousness (Isaiah 61:3). Together, we equip parents in the essential work of child discipleship by providing intentional resources, nursery care, and classes.
Nursery
We have Nurseries available for children from birth to 3 years old for our Sunday gatherings year round. In addition, we offer Nursery care for Wednesday Connection and other special events. Our ministry team leads children in age-appropriate playtime, prays for each child, and shares God-centered stories, songs, and memory verses. Register your children for the nursery here.
Kids Classes
We have Sunday and Wednesday classes for Preschool–Grade 5 throughout the school year. We use our class time with intentionality, teaching the Word of God in age-appropriate ways, connecting children in small groups, and encouraging them to grow in Christ. Register your children for classes here.
Our Commitment to Protecting Our Children
Our ambition as a church is to "tell to the coming generation the glorious deeds of the LORD, and his might, and the wonders that he has done" (Psalm 78:4). We desire our church to be a place of safety and blessing for children (birth to age 18), where they can grow, form friendships, and learn to experience and share the love of Christ. Yet in a fallen world we cannot assume that "inside" the church is safe. Therefore, we must protect our children—in every aspect of our life together—from threats like false doctrine as well as harm and abuse. While we cannot guarantee that harm will never happen to children at The North Church, we are committed to taking reasonable steps to reduce risk and protect them. Our desire is to cultivate a culture not of fear, but one that is proactive and protective, prioritizing our children's wellbeing.
